The “Expert consensus on radical laparoscopic cholecystectomy (2023)” (following abbreviations as “this consensus”) was formulated by the Biliary Surgery Group of the Chinese Medical Association Surgery Branch and the Biliary Surgery Expert Working Group of the Surgeons Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, and was first published in the Chinese Journal of Surgery in April 2024. In this consensus, relevant experts discussed and formulated relevant recommendations on the operation process of laparoscopicradical resection of gallbladder cancer (LRRGC), and elaborated on many issues. We interpreted and discussed the safety and efficacy evaluation of LRRGC, the standardized operating procedures and technical key points in this procedure, as well as the surgical principles for reoperation of delayed diagnosed gallbladder cancer in this consensus so as to enhance readers’ understanding of this consensus. We also hoped that medical centers will make more attempts and research on LRRGC in order to standardize and promote the application of LRRGC.
Revision of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction is more challenging than primary ACL reconstruction and often yields less favorable outcomes. The European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA) has established a consensus regarding preoperative diagnosis, assessment, and selection criteria for ACL revision surgery. The “Expert consensus on the standardized procedure of selective internal radiation therapy with yttrium-90 microspheres for liver malignancies (2024 edition)” is China’s first comprehensive technical guideline document on yttrium-90 microsphere selective internal radiation therapy (90Y-SIRT), developed collaboratively by domestic experts in interventional radiology, hepatobiliary surgery, nuclear medicine, and other related fields. This consensus systematically outlines the standardized requirements for the entire process of 90Y-SIRT, including patient selection, preoperative assessment, dosage calculation, procedural techniques, and postoperative management. This section provides an in-depth interpretation of the consensus's core elements, with a focus on analyzing its innovations and differences compared to international guidelines and previous domestic practices. It highlights the consensus’s guiding value in promoting the safe, standardized, and efficient implementation of this technology in China, offering a reference for clinical practice to physicians across multiple disciplines, including hepatobiliary surgery, interventional radiology, medical oncology, and nuclear medicine, etc.
