ObjectiveTo systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of Benvitimod in the treatment of psoriasis. MethodsThe CNKI, VIP, WanFang Data, SinoMed, PubMed and Cochrane Library databases were electronically searched to collect randomized controlled trials (RCTs) related to the objectives from inception to September 2025. Two reviewers independently screened literature, extracted data and assessed the risk of bias of the included studies. Meta-analysis was then performed by using RevMan 5.4 software. ResultsA total of 8 RCTs involving 1 890 patients were included. The results of meta-analysis showed that the Benvitimod group had higher PASI 50, PASI 75, PASI 90, PGA response rates, and the differences were statistically significant. Total adverse reactions in the Benvitimod group were more frequent, but the difference in the incidence rate of serious adverse events between the two groups was not statistically significant. ConclusionCurrent evidence shows that Benvitimod has significant efficacy in the treatment of psoriasis. Although the incidence of adverse events is relatively high, it does not increase the incidence of severe adverse reactions. Due to the limited quality and quantity of the included studies, more high quality studies are needed to verify the above conclusion.
