        中國的基因與細胞治療:21世紀的飛躍發展和重要貢獻

        各位新年好! 

        國際知名的基因治療雜志Human Gene Therapy《人類基因治療》春節期間發表了中國專刊,劉德培院士和魏于全院士受邀作為客座主編,該專輯發表了18篇中國科學家寫的評論, 綜述和原創研究文章,內容涉及基因與細胞治療藥物監管、病毒與非病毒載體、基因編輯、基因修飾的干細胞治療等技術,以及基因治療與細胞治療在腫瘤、心血管疾病、遺傳性疾病等方面的應用進展、反映了中國科學家在該領域取得的最新進展,論文目錄詳見該文最后,閱讀全文見http://online.liebertpub.com/toc/hum/29/2。 


        Human Gene Therapy的主編Terence R. Flotte教授與美國基因與細胞治療學會主席,Guangping Gao教授 (高光坪教授),用中英文同時發表了編者按 “Gene and Cell Therapy in China: Highlighting Excellence in the 21st Century” (中國的基因與細胞治療:21世紀的飛躍發展和重要貢獻)。他們指出:值此中國農歷新年之際, 我們很榮幸能在《人類基因治療》雜志上發表本期由劉德培教授和魏于全教授這兩位中國基因和細胞治療領域的領軍人物客串主編的中國特刊。在本特刊中, 我們不僅收集了一系列的評論, 綜述和原創研究文章, 同時, 我們還力求重點介紹這個世界上人口最多而科學和技術正在以前所未有的速度飛躍發展的國家在基因和細胞治療轉化研究領域里所取得的成就和重要貢獻……..”。




        封面由川大華西醫院生物治療國家重點實驗室的李昕欣博士與王瑋副教授設計,其設計的靈感來源于女媧補天這個典故。相傳在中國遠古時代,四根擎天大柱傾倒,天空出現巨大的洞口,九州大地裂毀,一時間生靈涂炭。此時女媧冶煉五色石,以修補蒼天,將有缺陷的天空修補完整,自此中原大地上恢復了平靜,世間萬物皆依照秩序運轉。而基因治療的原理則是將外源正常基因導入靶細胞,以糾正或補償因基因缺陷和異常引起的疾病,以達到治療目的,與女媧補天的典故想契合。更重要的是,女媧補天展現了人類改造天地的雄偉氣魄和與自然斗爭的大無畏精神,基因治療的探索亦是體現人類與自然不懈抗爭的精神,二者在精神層面互通,采用此典故表現基因治療的概念可以說渾然天成。
